A total of 19,768 tourists visited the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu since its reopening on April 1st, reported the National Institute of Culture (INC) in Cuzco.
According to INC statistics, 18,178 tourists (15,950 foreigners and 2,228 Peruvians) visited Machu Picchu between April 1 and 14, while there were 1,590 visitors on April 15.
