The Paracas National Reserve in Peru's southern coastal desert expects more than 5,000 Peruvian and foreign visitors during the long holiday weekend from July 28 to August 1.
David Orozco, the reserve's acting director, said that during the independence holidays most visitors are from Ica and Lima, while foreigners come from Germany, Spain, England, the U.S. and China.
"Now that the World Cup has ended, we expect to receive a lot of foreign tourists by the end of this month," he told Andina.
